The allocated District Councils or constituencies of some electors have changed due to the alteration of the relevant constituency boundaries or names after declaration of the names and boundaries of the constituencies in respect of the District Council ordinary election.
Affected electors will receive letters about the changes from the Registration and Electoral Office (REO) in the next few days.
"The REO will send letters to about 380,000 affected electors to inform them of the details of the change of their constituencies," an REO spokesman said today (April 24).
"These electors and non-affected electors will be informed of polling arrangements when they receive the poll cards and other relevant information sent out by the REO closer to the polling day."
"The 2007 District Council ordinary election is scheduled for November 18," the spokesman said.
The boundaries and names of the constituencies for this election were specified in the Declaration of Constituencies (District Councils) Order 2006, which was published in the Gazette on December 22, 2006.
Enquires can be made at 2891 1001.
