The Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology, Mr Joseph W P Wong, today (April 24) welcomed the prompt response by the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute Company Limited to the recommendations by the Director of Audit, and the concrete improvement measures the board put forward.
"Hong Kong is a mature and knowledge-based economy. To sustain our long-term development, we must continue to make commitment and investment in the applied science and technology researches which would assist our local businesses to upgrade and develop, and provide high value-added employment opportunities," Mr Wong said.
