Kowloon City District Food Festival offers Asian food

    More than 40 restaurants in Kowloon City will participate in a two-month long Kowloon City District Food Festival which begins on Sunday (May 6).

     The Director of Home Affairs, Mrs Pamela Tan, will officiate at the opening ceremony of the festival at Kowloon City Plaza at 3pm.
 
     Eleven free booths will present a variety of delicious Asian food and local snacks at the venue. Coupons offering meals at favourable prices will also be distributed to visitors participating in the festival.

     People are welcome to enjoy delicious food and a variety show at Kowloon City Plaza from 2pm to 6pm. Admission is free.  
 
     Jointly organised by the Kowloon City District Council and Kowloon City District Office, the festival is to attract local residents and tourists to visit some 170 food establishments in the district.

     They include Thai, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Chiu Chow, Indian, Japanese restaurants as well as stalls providing snacks and light refreshments serving the district for years.

     A leaflet entitled "Kowloon City District Food Guide" is also published to introduce special cuisines offered in the district as well as restaurants providing special offers for the two months. Leaflets are obtainable at the opening ceremony.
