Following is the transcript of a media session by the Acting Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, after attending the Legislative Council meeting today (June 2):
Acting Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development: With respect to the complaint figures about Mainland tourists in terms of their shopping activities in Hong Kong, we are very concerned about it. This is a serious matter. We will do everything we can, and together with the Travel Industry Council, seriously look at this matter to protect our reputation as a shopping haven in Hong Kong.
