Temporary closure of staircase and footpath between Kwai Luen Road and Kwai Shing Circuit in Kwai Chung gazetted

     The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (February 25) on the temporary closure of the staircase and footpath between Kwai Luen Road and Kwai Shing Circuit in Kwai Chung for a public rental housing project at Kwai Shing Circuit.

     The existing staircase and footpath between Kwai Luen Road and Kwai Shing Circuit will be temporarily closed as a precautionary measure for public safety during the construction period of the public rental housing project.  Temporary alternative accesses will be provided and temporary diversions will be carried out as and when required.

     The proposed works are expected to commence in mid-2011 for  completion in early 2014.

     The notice and its related plan have been posted on the notice boards near the site.  The plan and scheme are also available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

(2) Kwai Tsing District Office,
    Public Enquiry Service Centre,

(3) District Lands Office, Tsuen Wan and Kwai Tsing,
    10th and 11th floors,
    Tsuen Wan Multi-storey Carpark Building,
    174-208 Castle Peak Road,
    Tsuen Wan, New Territories

     Any person who wishes to object to the works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16th floor, Murray Building, Garden Road, Central, Hong Kong, on or before April 26, 2011.
