The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, will visit Beijing from March 4 to 7. At the invitation of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Mr Tsang will attend the opening ceremony for the fourth session of the 11th National People's Congress on March 5.
While in Beijing, he will visit a number of ministries and deliver a speech at Peking University on March 7.
The Director of the Chief Executive's Office, Mr Raymond Tam; the Director of Information Services, Mr Michael Wong; the Private Secretary to the Chief Executive, Ms Bernadette Linn; the Senior Special Assistant to the Chief Executive, Mr Chan Kin-ping; and the Assistant Director (Media), Mr Vic Yau will also join the visit.
During Mr Tsang's absence, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, will serve as acting Chief Executive on March 4, and the Financial Secretary, Mr John C Tsang, will be acting Chief Executive from March 5 to 7.
