The Land Registry today (January 5) released its statistics for 2011.
Land registration

* The number of sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration for 2011 was 108,814 (-33.1 per cent compared with 2010 and -18.8 per cent compared with 2009).
* The total consideration for these agreements for 2011 was $587.89 billion (-14.7 per cent compared with 2010 but +14 per cent compared with 2009).
* The number of assignments of building units for 2011 was 149,215 (-20.2 per cent compared with 2010 but +5.6 per cent compared with 2009).
* The total consideration for these assignments for 2011 was $714.19 billion (+4 per cent compared with 2010 and +51.4 per cent compared with 2009).
Land search

* The number of searches of land registers made by the public for 2011 was 5,156,556 (-14.2 per cent compared with 2010 but +3.8 per cent compared with 2009).
