Contractor fined for violation of safety rules

Silver Honour Engineering Limited was fined $46,000 at Eastern Magistrates' Courts today (September 12) for violation of the Construction Sites (Safety) Regulations. The prosecution was launched by the Labour Department.
The case involved a fatal accident that occurred on July 14 last year in Wong Chuk Hang, in which a scaffolder fell to his death from 15/F to 1/F of an industrial building while he was erecting a truss-out scaffold at its external wall.
