A new class in green living

Hong Kong students have begun lessons in farming and environmental awareness right in the heart of town.
The Hong Kong Green Building Council holds tours of environmentally-designed buildings, which have energy-saving and low-emission features, for secondary students.
They visited Hysan Place in Causeway Bay and the Holiday Inn Express Hong Kong Soho Hotel in Sheung Wan, which have achieved a BEAM Plus platinum rating, the highest rating conferred by the council.
A group of students share their thoughts on the tour in a story that appears today (September 15) on the news.gov.hk website in both text and video format.
