Police appeal to the public for information on a baby body found case in Cheung Sha Wan last night (March 28).
About 10.10pm, Police received a report that a baby was found inside a bag, which was placed in a flowerbed outside Hau Chi House, Lei Cheng Uk Estate.
Police officers sped to the scene and located a baby body inside the bag. Initial examination revealed that the baby, with an umbilical cord attached, was a newborn girl.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of the baby's death.
Investigations by Sham Shui Po District Crime Squad are underway.
Police appeal to next-of-kin of the baby girl and members of the public who may have information to offer to contact the investigating officers on 2746 3300 or 6311 5218.
