The Legislative Council (LegCo) Panel on Security today (April 24) conducted a site visit to Lok Ma Chau Spur Line (LMCSL) Control Point to better understand immigration clearance of passengers and operation of e-Channels.
LegCo Members received a briefing on the operation of LMCSL Control Point by the Director of Immigration, Mr Chan Kwok-ki. They then toured around the arrival and departure halls. Members also observed the operation of the cross-boundary students designated counters and e-Channels.
Members participating in the visit included Chairman of the Panel, Mr Ip Kwok-him, and Panel members Ms Emily Lau, Mr Paul Tse, Mr Ng Leung-sing, Mr Charles Mok, Mr Chan Chi-chuen, Mr Kwok Wai-keung and Mr Chung Kwok-pan, as well as a non-Panel member Mr Gary Fan.
