The Venue Partnership Scheme was launched in 2009 as an arts development initiative aimed at fostering partnerships between selected performance venues and performing arts groups/organisations. Other objectives of the scheme include enhancing the artistic image and character of the venues and their partners, enlarging the audience base, optimising usage of the facilities, and developing venue-based marketing strategies. The scheme also encourages community involvement in the development of the arts to facilitate arts sponsorship and promote arts in the community.
