The Land Registry today (July 6) released its statistics for the first half of 2016.
Land registration
-----------------
* The number of sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration for the first half of 2016 was 26,571 (-18.3 per cent compared with the second half of 2015 and -39.1 per cent compared with the first half of 2015).
* The total consideration for these agreements for the first half of 2016 was $189.49 billion (-20.1 per cent compared with the second half of 2015 and -39.2 per cent compared with the first half of 2015).
* The number of assignments of building units for the first half of 2016 was 34,425 (-20.7 per cent compared with the second half of 2015 and -35.3 per cent compared with the first half of 2015).
* The total consideration for these assignments for the first half of 2016 was $220.18 billion (-24.3 per cent compared with the second half of 2015 and -29.4 per cent compared with the first half of 2015).

* The number of searches of land registers made by the public for the first half of 2016 was 2,192,891 (-5.8 per cent compared with the second half of 2015 and -11.6 per cent compared with the first half of 2015).
