Annual mean temperatures have been recorded at the Hong Kong Observatory Headquarters since 1885, except for a break during World War II from 1940 to 1946. Analysis of the annual mean temperature showed that there was an increasing rate of 0.14℃ per decade during 1885-2024. The increasing rate was 0.37℃ per decade during 1995-2024.
Note: The temperature increasing trends during 1885-2024 and 1995-2024 are statistically significant at 5% level.
