Company director fined for breaching MPFS Ordinance

A company director was fined $8,000 at the Kwun Tong Magistracy today (March 6), after being convicted of offences under the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance.
The defendant, Chan Kwong-wai, director of Rich Cheer Investment Limited, was charged with offences under section 7(1A)(b) and section 44 of the ordinance. The defendant pleaded guilty to one charge of failing to enrol his employee in an MPF scheme as required by the ordinance and was fined $8,000.
