The Hong Kong Flower Show 2007, organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, at Victoria Park has ended with more than 520,000 visitors being attracted, an increase of 10,000 visitors on last year.

Some of the plants are still in good condition. In an effort to promote greening, the department distributed some to the gardens and parks and some were sent to schools and charity organisations.

The event attracted 185 organisations from 20 countries showcasing exotic flowers, landscape and floral art displays. These organisations were from the Mainland, Australia, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Indonesia.

A series of fringe activities complemented the flower show including music and dance performances, tree work demonstration, floral art demonstrations, plant care workshops, horticultural talks and fun games.
