"Name the Giant Pandas" submissions close tomorrow
**************************************************

The Home Affairs Bureau today (April 10) reminded the public that submissions for the "Name the Giant Pandas" activity would end tomorrow (April 11).

Organised by the bureau, the activity aims to seek suggestions from the public on names for the new pair of giant pandas which will be given to Hong Kong as a gift from the Central Government in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

All Hong Kong residents are welcome to participate. The names should be meaningful and creative and reflect the young, lovely and vivacious characteristics of the giant pandas.

Entry forms, with details of the naming activity, are available from the Public Enquiry Service Centres of all 18 District Offices, Ocean Park, and public libraries, performing arts venues and museums of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. The form may also be downloaded from the websites of the Home Affairs Bureau (www.hab.gov.hk) and the 10th Anniversary website (www.gov.hk/10). Participants may also submit entries online via the 10th Anniversary website.

For entries submitted by post, only those with the postmark dated April 11, 2007, or earlier will be accepted. Entries delivered by hand should reach the relevant Public Enquiry Service Centre during opening hours on or before April 11. Online submissions will close at 11.59pm on the same date.
