People have four more days to view the exhibition of design proposals submitted by the four tenderers for the Tamar Development Project before it is moved from Queensway to a new venue in Kowloon next week.
A spokesman for the Administration Wing said today (April 20) that the exhibition, currently open daily from 10am to 7pm at the Deck Level, High Block, Queensway Government Offices, Hong Kong would close next Tuesday (April 24).
From April 28 to May 27, the exhibition will move to the Thematic Exhibition Gallery, Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre, Kowloon Park, Haiphong Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon.
The spokesman said public response to the exhibition has been enthusiastic, attracting more than 12,500 visitors since its opening on March 28. Almost 45,000 visitors have surfed the website (www.tamar.gov.hk). So far, more than 8,200 comment cards have been received at the exhibition venue and via the Internet.
"All members of the community are welcome to visit the exhibition, which aims to bring them closer to the design proposals and canvass their comments on the design and aesthetic aspects," the spokesman said.
To assist the public to invite their friends and relatives to visit the exhibition, a specially-designed electronic invitation card has been included in the exhibition website.
"One click and your friends and relatives will be informed of this exhibition, which features physical models of the designs as well as drawings and videos highlighting the tenderers' design philosophy and key features," the spokesman said.
