The spokesperson of Castle Peak Hospital (CPH) made the following announcement today (April 20):
Three male patients (aged 19 to 48) in an admission ward of CPH have presented with diarrhea symptoms since April 17. Appropriate test has been carried out and the results are positive to Norovirus. The three patients have been transferred to Tuen Mun Hospital for treatment under isolation and are stable at present.
Infection control measures of the ward concerned have been enhanced. Admission to the ward has been suspended while all patients are under close medical surveillance.
The cases have been reported to the Hospital Authority and the Centre for Health Protection for necessary follow up.
