A special stamp issue with the theme of "Chinese Martial Arts" will be released on Thursday, May 22.
Hongkong Post said today (April 30) that associated stamp products would also be on sale as from the same date.
The "Chinese Martial Arts" issue, composed of four stamps featuring "Southern Lion Dance" ($1.40), "Nanquan" (Southern Fist) ($2.40), "Northern Lion Dance" ($3) and "Beitui" (Northern Kicks) ($5), presents a miniature of the versatile Chinese martial arts. A silhouette in gold foil at the bottom of each stamp highlights the martial arts form depicted.
Official First Day Covers at $1 each will be put on sale at all post offices as from April 30. The stamps and the associated philatelic products will be displayed at the General Post Office and Tsim Sha Tsui, Tsuen Wan and Sha Tin Central Post Offices as from the same date. Advance orders for servicing self-provided covers will be accepted at all philatelic offices from April 30 to May 5 and also at the General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui and Airport Post Offices on May 6.
