The Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, today (September 16) attended the Fifth Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Human Resources Development Ministerial Meeting in Beijing. He gave a keynote speech "Sustaining and Expanding Employment - Hong Kong's Experience" under the sub-theme "Devoting priority attention to maintaining and expanding employment and adopting employment-oriented macro-economic polices" in the afternoon and discussed with ministers of other APEC member economies issues related to human resources development and employment.
