"Right Here, Right Now" - local choreographer Rebecca Wong to perform latest work
***********************************************************

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department will present young local choreographer Rebecca Wong's latest work, "Right Here, Right Now", in March.

Rebecca Wong graduated at The Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts, majoring in Contemporary Dance. She was awarded numerous scholarships as a student and went on to further her studies in the United Kingdom. Since then she has worked with Bode Lawal's Sakoba Dance Theatre, Guangdong Modern Dance Company, CCDC Dance Centre, Unlock Dancing Plaza, PassoverDance, Y-Space, Off the Ground, E-side Modern Dance Company, Tumble Dance Company and ABA Productions' Peter Pan Musical. Wong released her first dance piece, "Hit or Miss", in 2009, which received an overwhelming response during its tour in Guangzhou.

"Right Here, Right Now" is concerned with both the future and the past. "Right Here" looks at what is going to happen, while "Right Now", reviews what has just happened. Rebecca Wong expresses her understanding of past and future with body movement.

"Right Here, Right Now" will be staged at 8pm, on March 18 and 19 (Friday and Saturday) and at 4pm, on March 20 (Sunday) at the Black Box Theatre, Kwai Tsing Theatre. Tickets priced at $160 are now available at all URBTIX outlets, on the Internet and by credit card telephone booking.
