Inter-departmental Mountain Rescue Exercise (with photos)

     An inter-departmental exercise simulating a hillfire and mountain rescue operation was held at Eagle's Nest Nature Trail, Shek Kip Mei, Kowloon this morning (November 14).

     The departments involved were the Fire Services Department; the Hong Kong Police Force; the Government Flying Service; the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department; the Auxiliary Medical Services; the Civil Aid Service; the Home Affairs Department; the Social Welfare Department and the Hospital Authority.

     The exercise is aimed at enhancing co-ordination, communication, command and control capabilities among the departments in massive hillfire and mountain rescue operations.
