Wounding case in Kowloon City reclassified as murder

     Police this afternoon (April 13) reclassified a wounding case in Kowloon City on April 4 as murder.

     About 9.59pm on that day, Police received report that a woman was found injured at a unit on Nga Tsin Wai Road. Police sped to the scene and located a 28-year-old woman. She was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 3.36pm today.

     A post-mortem examination will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of her death.

     A man aged between 25 and 35 was being wanted in suspected connection with the case. Standing about 1.6 to 1.7 metres, the man is of medium build and has short black hair.

     Active investigations by the Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon West are underway.
