     Following is a statement by the President of the Legislative Council (LegCo), Mr Jasper Tsang, today (March 12):

     "I am pleased to learn that all LegCo Members are invited to visit Shanghai to understand its latest development and explore opportunities for further co-operation between Hong Kong and Shanghai. I would like to thank the Central Government for arranging the visit and the Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, for his assistance to enable this visit to take place. I hope that all Members will take part in the visit."
