Treasured tree stands test of time

     A Chinese banyan at Shui Mei Village Playground in Yuen Long was chosen as the city's Favourite Old and Valuable Tree by thousands of people in a Development Bureau online contest in November.

     News.gov.hk spoke to a tree management officer to learn about the history of the more than 100-year-old tree, and why more than half of the voters chose it.
