Resumption of services of Transport Department

     The Transport Department (TD) today (August 2) announced that services provided in TD's Licensing Offices at Admiralty, Cheung Sha Wan, Kwun Tong and Sha Tin, the Public Vehicles Unit, the Cross Boundary Unit, the Driving Test Appointment Office and the Vehicle Examination Centres will resume within two hours upon the Hong Kong Observatory's announcement of lowering of the No.8 gale or storm signal.

     Members of the public scheduled for vehicle examination today should make rescheduled appointments with the Vehicle Examination Centres as soon as they reopen.

     Applicants who have made an appointment for renewal of a full driving licence/vehicle licence or application for an international driving permit at any timeslot before lowering of the No. 8 gale or storm signal, or within two hours after the lowering of the signal today, please reschedule the appointment by making a fresh application.

     Candidates scheduled for driving test today will be individually informed of the alternative arrangements.
