Hong Kong Customs seizes suspected ketamine and cocaine (with photo)

Customs officers intercepted a man and a woman during an anti-narcotics operation in To Kwa Wan this early morning. A total of 5kg of suspected ketamine was found inside a reusable bag carried by the man and 1.5g of suspected cocaine was found during a body search. A subsequent search in the arrestees’ premises led to the seizure of a set of packaging paraphernalia.
The arrested man and woman are both aged 19 and claim to be unemployed. The case is still under investigation.
Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, trafficking in a dangerous drug is a serious offence. The maximum penalty is life imprisonment and a fine of $5 million.
