SDEV and STH meeting two members-elect of the Legislative Council

     The Secretary for Development, Mr Paul Chan, and the Secretary for Transport and Housing, Professor Anthony Cheung Bing-leung, had a meeting with members-elect of the Legislative Council Mr Chu Hoi-dick and Professor Yiu Chung-yim today (September 15) to exchange views on the development at Wang Chau, Yuen Long and other matters.

     "As requested by the two members-elect, the Government has passed to them a copy of the Table of Contents of the 16 reports of the Planning and Engineering Feasibility Study for Public Housing Site and Yuen Long Industrial Estate Extension at Wang Chau (P&E Study) (attached)," a Government spokesman said.

     The spokesman reiterated that, as a general principle, the Government will not release sensitive information about land matters in view of public interest. However, the Government understands the concern of the community and will thus make reference to the Government's similar practice in putting together the appropriate contents of the P&E Study for the reference of the public.
