Hong Kong Customs smashes suspected crack cocaine manufacturing centre (with photo)

During an anti-narcotics operation this afternoon, Customs officers intercepted a man in Fanling. Upon search at his reported premises, a batch of suspected drug manufacturing tools, about 500 grams of suspected cocaine and 250 grams of suspected crack cocaine were seized.
The arrested man is 52-year-old and claimed to be unemployed. The case is still under investigation.
Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, manufacturing of and trafficking in a dangerous drug are serious offences. The maximum penalty of each offence is life imprisonment and a fine of $5 million.
