Police are investigating a murder case in Tai Po today (October 8) in which a 22-year-old man was killed.

     About 12.02pm, Police received a report that an injured man took a taxi to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital. Sustaining cut wounds to his chest, the 22-year-old man was admitted to hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 12.34pm.

     Upon initial investigation, a 41-year-old man was arrested on Wai Yan Street in suspected connection with the case. A fruit knife was seized at a unit on Wai Yan Street.

     Post-mortem examination will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.

     Investigation by the Regional Crime Unit of New Territories North is underway.
