Proprietor fined for violation of safety legislation

Modern Terminals Limited was fined $30,000 at Tsuen Wan Magistrates' Courts today (November 16) for violation of the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance. The prosecution was launched by the Labour Department.

The case involved a fatal accident that occurred on April 28, 2014, at a container terminal in Kwai Chung. A worker while reversing a forklift truck to assist in mooring a vessel plunged to his death together with the forklift truck into the sea.
