Commissioner on Interception of Communications and Surveillance inspects passing-out parade at HK Police College (with photos)

     A good, effective and efficient Police Force helped to ensure the enforcement of law, which was essential for the courts here to apply the rule of law, to which Hong Kong’s stability depended on, the Commissioner on Interception of Communications and Surveillance, Mr Azizul Rahman Suffiad, said today (December 3) when inspecting a passing-out parade at the Hong Kong Police College.

     Mr Suffiad pointed out that the Force has earned for itself a most respectable reputation for the way in which it combated and tackled crime and crime investigation. Therefore over the years, the Hong Kong Police Force has been generally acknowledged internationally as one of the best Police Forces in Asia, he said.

     “For the Hong Kong Police Force to continue to enjoy its reputation as being Asia’s finest, the tradition and culture, the honour and the integrity of the Force will have to be maintained and passed on unfailingly from one generation to the next of succeeding policemen here,” he said.

     Mr Suffiad encouraged the graduates to perform their duties and maintain law and order in the territory, so as to ensure the continuation of the reputation of the Hong Kong Police Force, which has maintained for a long time, and also to ensure that Hong Kong remains a safe and stable society for both its citizens and visitors.

     A total of 42 probationary inspectors and 252 recruit constables passed out today.
