DGCA mourns passing of former DGCA Mr Norman Lo

     The Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Mr Simon Li, was deeply saddened to hear of the passing away of the former DGCA, Mr Norman Lo, and called Mr Lo's family to extend his condolences.

     Throughout some 40 years of service for the Civil Aviation Department (CAD), Mr Lo took an active part in developing Hong Kong into an international aviation centre and air logistics hub. The staff of the CAD were sorry to learn of Mr Lo's untimely death. The CAD will provide assistance to his family.

     Mr Lo joined the CAD as a Student Air Traffic Control Officer in 1977 and was appointed as DGCA in April 2004. He commenced pre-retirement leave on May 19, 2016.
