Appointment of Non-Executive Director of SFC

     The Financial Secretary, under the authority delegated by the Chief Executive, has re-appointed Mr Albert Au Siu-cheung as a Non-Executive Director of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). The re-appointment will take effect from May 26, 2017 for a term of two years.

     Mr Au is the Special Advisor of BDO Limited.

     Announcing the appointment today (April 13), a Government spokesman said, "Mr Au has provided valuable advice and guidance to the SFC during his tenure. We look forward to his continued support for the work of the SFC."

     The SFC is chaired by Mr Carlson Tong. Other serving Non-Executive Directors are Mr Edward Cheng Wai-sun, Mr Lester Garson Huang, Ms Teresa Ko Yuk-yin, Ms Mary Ma Xue-zheng, Dr William Wong Ming-fung and Dr Kelvin Wong Tin-yau.
