Vacancy in Central and Western District Council

The Government declared by notice in the Gazette today (September 1) the existence of a vacant elected seat in the Central and Western District Council Tung Wah Constituency.

Following the resignation of elected member Ms Siu Ka-yi, the office has become vacant on September 1 pursuant to section 26(b) of the District Councils Ordinance (Cap 547).

The Registration and Electoral Office will arrange a by-election.
