Temporary traffic arrangements for trial run of tram track renewal works in Eastern District from tomorrow

     The Transport Department (TD) today (September 19) reminded the public that to facilitate a trial run of the tram track renewal works in Eastern District, the following road sections will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic (except trams) from about 10am tomorrow (September 20) to 7pm this Friday (September 22):

* A section of the nearside lane of Shau Kei Wan Road eastbound near Hoi An Street; and

* A section of the offside lane of Hoi An Street near Shau Kei Wan Road.

     Appropriate traffic signs and road markings will be erected on-site to guide motorists.

     The TD anticipates that the traffic in the vicinity of Shau Kei Wan Road and Hoi An Street will be relatively congested. Motorists should exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion. Members of the public are advised to plan their journey early, allow more travelling time and stay alert to the latest traffic news through the media.
