Temporary traffic arrangements on slip road of Island Eastern Corridor westbound from next Tuesday to Wednesday

     The Transport Department (TD) today (September 22) reminded the public that to facilitate road maintenance works, a section of about 900 metres of the slip road of Island Eastern Corridor westbound outside Quarry Bay Park (Causeway Bay bound) will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from 11pm next Tuesday (September 26) to 6am next Wednesday (September 27).

     During the road closure, motorists will be diverted to use the slip road leading from Island Eastern Corridor westbound to Taikoo Wan Road, Taikoo Wan Road, Tai Wing Avenue, Taikoo Shing Road westbound, Tai Yue Avenue, Taikoo Wan Road and the slip road leading from Taikoo Wan Road to Island Eastern Corridor westbound heading for Causeway Bay.

     Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on-site to guide motorists.

     The TD anticipates that the traffic in the vicinity of the Island Eastern Corridor westbound will be congested. Motorists should exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion and should consider using alternative routes. Members of the public are advised to plan their journey in advance and allow more travelling time to prevent unexpected delay, and stay alert for the latest traffic news through the media.
