Hong Kong Customs seizes suspected cocaine (with photos)

Customs officers inspected an air mail parcel that arrived from Bolivia and was declared as containing a pulley for automotive machinery on November 21. Upon examination, about 2.2kg of cocaine was found concealed within hollow spaces of the metal pulley.
Customs officers arrested a 29-year-old man suspected to be related to the case in Tsing Yi yesterday (November 23). Investigation is ongoing.
Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, trafficking in a dangerous drug is a serious offence. The maximum penalty upon conviction is a fine of $5 million and life imprisonment.
