Four Directors of Bureaux and LegCo members to visit Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area

     The Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Patrick Nip; the Secretary for Innovation and Technology, Mr Nicholas W Yang; the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr James Lau; and the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Edward Yau, will join the Legislative Council (LegCo) joint-Panel (Panel on Economic Development, Panel on Financial Affairs, Panel on Commerce and Industry, and Panel on Information Technology and Broadcasting) duty visit to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area (Bay Area) from April 20 to 22.

     The four Directors of Bureaux and LegCo members will visit five cities in the Bay Area, i.e. Shenzhen, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Foshan and Guangzhou. They will meet with officials of the Guangdong Provincial Government and the five municipal governments and visit the cities' latest development projects, transport and infrastructure developments, scientific research and cultural facilities, and financial technology and innovative technology enterprises.

     They will return to Hong Kong on April 22.
