Vacancies in District Councils

Mr Leung Yiu Chung, an elected member of the Kwai Tsing District Council Kwai Fong Constituency, pleaded guilty in a criminal case and was sentenced to eight months' imprisonment, suspended for 12 months. Pursuant to section 26(c) of the District Councils Ordinance (Cap. 547) (the Ordinance), his office has become vacant since February 27, 2021.
Moreover, following the resignation of elected members set out in the table below, pursuant to section 26(b) of the Ordinance, their offices have become or will become vacant from the dates specified in the table below.
