CS severely condemns violence and acts undermining public order

     The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr John Lee, severely condemns the attack on a police officer on duty by a person with a knife on July 1, causing serious injuries to the officer.

     Mr Lee sends his regards to the injured officer and wishes him a speedy recovery.

     For the various incidents in various places on Hong Kong Island and Kowloon on July 1 which were suspected to be illegal and undermining public order, Mr Lee condemns such acts which seriously breached the peace and challenged the law. He firmly believes in and fully supports the Police in taking resolute law enforcement actions to maintain law and order.
