Government adjusts COVID-19 vaccination requirement under social distancing measures according to expert advice
******************************************************************************************
In general, completing the vaccination course involves having received two doses of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine or Comirnaty vaccine at least 14 days ago. In accordance with the advice of the Advisory Panel made today, the COVID-19 vaccination requirement under the social distancing measures will be adjusted from today onwards. Persons aged 12 to 17 who have received one dose of Comirnaty vaccine at least 14 days ago are deemed to have completed the COVID-19 vaccination course and complied with the relevant requirement of social distancing measures under Cap. 599F.
According to Cap. 599F, certain persons (such as staff of catering premises adopting Type D Mode of Operation and customers of cruise ships aged 16 or above) must have completed the COVID-19 vaccination course before working at or entering relevant premises.
"The Government will continue to keep a close watch on global and local epidemic situations and take into account expert advice to refine various requirements under the 'vaccine bubble'," a Government spokesman said.
