Hong Kong Customs seizes suspected cocaine worth about $16 million (with photo)

During an anti-narcotics operation conducted in Tseung Kwan O yesterday afternoon, Customs officers intercepted a 24-year-old woman and then escorted her to the residential premises she resides in for a search.
Customs officers seized about 14kg of suspected cocaine in the premises and therefore arrested the 24-year-old woman. A 21-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman present in the premises were also arrested.
Investigation is ongoing.
Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, trafficking in a dangerous drug is a serious offence. The maximum penalty upon conviction is a fine of $5 million and life imprisonment.
