Audit Commission's response on alleged use of fake "LeaveHomeSafe" mobile application by an officer

The Audit Commission is deeply concerned about the arrest of an audit officer yesterday (November 1) for the alleged use of a fake "LeaveHomeSafe" mobile application, and has today (November 2) ordered that the officer be interdicted (i.e. suspended from duty) according to the disciplinary provisions in the Public Service (Administration) Order.

The Audit Commission attaches utmost importance to the discipline and integrity of its staff. No illegal or irregular acts will be tolerated. Such acts will be followed up in strict accordance with legislations and established procedures.
