Sham Shui Po and Yau Tsim Mong District Offices distribute anti-epidemic service bags to street sleepers jointly with non-governmental organisations (with photos)

The Sham Shui Po District Office (SSPDO) distributed anti-epidemic service bags to street sleepers yesterday afternoon. The District Officer (Sham Shui Po), Mr Paul Wong, passed the anti-epidemic service bags to the Salvation Army. He then visited the Lei Cheng Uk Playground and the Tung Chau Street Park with the District Social Welfare Officer, Mr Ricky Yu, and the person-in-charge for the Health Support Services for Street Sleepers in Sham Shui Po District, among others, to distribute anti-service bags to street sleepers. The SSPDO will continue distributing anti-epidemic service bags to street sleepers in the district with the assistance of the Salvation Army.
The Yau Tsim Mong District Office (YTMDO) also distributed anti-epidemic service bags to street sleepers in Yau Tsim Mong district yesterday night. The District Officer (Yau Tsim Mong), Mr Edward Yu, and the the District Social Welfare Officer (Kowloon City/Yau Tsim Mong), Ms Lilian Cheung, together with the Integrated Services Team for Street Sleepers operated by the Salvation Army, which provide welfare and support serivces to street sleepers in the district, distributed anti-epidemic service bags in the vicinity of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui. The YTMDO will continue distributing anti-epidemic service bags to street sleepers in the district through the Integrated Services Team for Street Sleepers operated by the Salvation Army, whose nurses would provide appropriate assistance to the street sleepers.
The District Offices will continue distributing anti-epidemic service bags through various channels and urge members of the public to do self-testing every day on April 8, 9 and 10 using the rapid antigen test kits in the bags to achieve the goal of "early identification" in the epidemic fight to cut transmission chains in the community as early as possible.
