Employer fined for violation of safety legislation

     Well Full Construction Engineering Limited (formerly known as Grand Top Construction Engineering Limited) was fined $30,000 at West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts today (June 30) for violation of the Occupational Safety and Health Ordinance. The prosecution was launched by the Labour Department.

     The case involved a fatal accident that occurred on August 12, 2020, on a public road in Kwai Chung. A worker conducting refuse clearing there was knocked down by a vehicle engaged in the work. The worker sustained multiple injuries and passed away on the same day.
