Medal for Bravery (Silver) awarded posthumously

The Government announced in the Gazette today (November 22) that the late Mr So Yuet-leung, Vinson, has been posthumously awarded the Medal for Bravery (Silver) by the Chief Executive in recognition of his gallantry and selflessness displayed in the sacrifice of his life for rescuing a person in the waters at Aberdeen Harbour near South Horizons, Ap Lei Chau, on April 11 this year.

The award will be presented at the 2024 Honours and Awards Presentation Ceremony to be held this month.

The citation for the above awardee is provided in the Appendix.
