Appointment of Commissioner of Civil Aid Service

     The Government announced today (December 20) that the Chief Executive, in exercise of his authority under the Civil Aid Service Ordinance (Cap. 518), has re-appointed Mr Lo Yan-lai as the Commissioner of the Civil Aid Service (CAS) for a term of one year with effect from January 1, 2025.

     The Secretary for Security, Mr Tang Ping-keung, is pleased with the re-appointment of Mr Lo. "Mr Lo joined the CAS as a volunteer member in 1981 and was appointed as the Commissioner in January 2019. Under his exemplary leadership, the CAS has been committed to serving the community and rendering sterling and professional support to regular disciplined forces while also making enormous contribution to youth development. I am confident that the CAS will continue to provide quality and reliable service to members of the public as a highly efficient auxiliary service under Mr Lo's leadership," Mr Tang said.
