STL leads delegation to visit Guangxi

     The Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Ms Mable Chan, will lead members of the Hong Kong Logistics Development Council to visit Nanning in Guangxi tomorrow (January 7) to explore business opportunities on logistics and maritime fronts between the two places.

     Ms Chan and the delegation will pay visits to local logistics facilities and attend a Guangxi-Hong Kong seminar on logistics and maritime with a view to promoting to the local trade the strengths of Hong Kong as an international logistics hub. She will also meet with Nanning officials to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.

     Ms Chan will return to Hong Kong on Wednesday night (January 8). During her absence, the Under Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Mr Liu Chun-san, will be the Acting Secretary for Transport and Logistics.
